New majority shareholder at System Cleaners A/S
The Swedish company AxFlow Holding AB, part of the industrial group Axel Johnson International AB, has acquired the majority holding of System Cleaners A/S.
The former owners of System Cleaners will continue as minority shareholders, and it will be business as usual for employees, customers and suppliers. Axel Johnson International has 4,400 employees and 150 subsidiaries in more than 30 countries. System Cleaners will from now on be part of AxFlow Holding AB, a company with 1,100 employees and owned by Axel Johnson International.
AxFlow is a well-known brand on the European market with values matching those of System Cleaners, and the foundation for the continued development of System Cleaners is now even stronger. The former majority shareholder Peter Jessen states: “A generational succession was imminent within the next 3 years, and I can’t think of a better and more future-proof ownership of System Cleaners from which the potential for solutions for safe food processing can be further developed”.
Becoming part of AxFlow will create a wide range of new possibilities for System Cleaners’ customers, partners and employees. AxFlow has 30 years’ experience in the European food industry and a strong presence in Europe, making AxFlow a fantastic, long-term strategic partner for System Cleaners. Peter Freiesleben will stay on as CEO and the company will continue as an independent company with headquarters in Aalborg, Denmark.
“Being part of a big industrial group enables us to offer our customers an even stronger and future-proof sales platform and product portfolio for optimisation of cleaning processes in the global food and beverage industry,” CEO Peter Freiesleben states.
